LACK OF ORGANIZATION BY THEM

As I write this article I am feeling a little bit unhappy because I just got back form an interview where I was not given a chance to show what I can do. I woke up on Sunday morning feeling very happy giving myself a pep talk about being one of the presenters that will be selected for this TV station that was looking for presenters, I skipped church also hoping that God will understand my plight.
As I got into the bathroom to take my bath I had every confident that I will be picked for this job because I know and lots of my friends feels I have a God given talent for entertainment, after I finished taking my bath I dressed up in a jean and a white shirt with a vest on the white shirt feeling really confident about the job. I got out of my house, walked to the bus stop, took a commercial bus to the venue of the audition. As I got there I saw a crowd and I started feeling jittery, but all the same the confident level was high. The fact was that I know what I can do that will make the judges pick me. As I filled the form, I met a friend called wale and we got talking about the audition. We spoke for a while about the processes since the turn up of people was on the high side. We were both hopeful since we do not have any tangible experience as presenters for TV. After we got our seats the organizers kept us waiting for more than 4 hours only for us to realize that they do not have enough personnel to handle the number of people who showed up for the job placement, they told some other people to go home and schedule a later date for them. But we were asked to wait since we were there for the post of presenters. The organizers who are the owners of a TV and radio station do not have any idea on how to attend to us. So they kept us waiting for another 2 hours. These are old men who lack ideas in the ever dynamic entertainment industry of Nigeria, they have the money but they lack the appropriate skilled man power to handle the job in the right way.
They attended to those that have experience in the field first after the necessary consultations with one another and that took like 3hours fore them to attend to them, after keeping us waiting they still were really disrespectful to us feeling like they were doing us a favor. They were so disorganized that the marketing manager of the company had to come outside to talk to us in form of an audition , she started picking people at random to ask questions; this made me feel really disgusted for wasting my time for an audition that was not planned. They hurled insults at some of the people present for the audition. After the whole thing I sat down and wondered why they organized an audition they were not ready for. They passed the information through TV and radio and we all know lots of people will definitely turn up for the job, secondly they advertised for different posts hopi9ng to attend to everyone with their lack of skilled personnel, and lastly, I wondered if they were looking for real talent or just experienced TV presenters because they did not attend to us that not experienced on the job. Then it hit me that these people have been open for a year now and do not have anything that could bring viewers and sponsors to support their business. I am writing this because I have been to 3 auditions and I have never been so disappointed like this before. The M.T.V VJ search audition was the mother of all, there was organization, everything went on smoothly and we all had fun being part of the whole process because they care about their reputation. This broadcast house does not care about their reputation, they only wanted money and that was where they got it wrong. You will never get the best people to run and manage your company well until you have a reputation these people admire, they lack a good reputation and that is why I really feel they will not attain the heights they want to get to since they are ready to compromise their standard. I am only writing this to make the managers and owners of UNITY(102.3)FM and GOTEL65 understand that the top will b e theirs if only they start thinking about their reputation and not being partial in the way they dispose their duties.
And as for everyone that is reading this, if you want your business to thrive do not allow mediocre people run your business because I tell you they will ruin it. Nigeria has lots of Broadcast houses that are really taking our entertainment industry to the next level I thank them for the great job they are doing. The like of SILVERBIRD, COOLFM, and BRILAFM to mention a few knows their job and they are doing it right.
So take your time to organize yourself and your business before you will start regretting the facts that you are loosing grounds when you do it the other way round. Thanks guys for reading this. Don’t forget if you want to publish this article call me on

me myself and my country

Hello people, this is the part two of me, myself and I . I am going to give you all a full detail of me.

Like you already know my name is odagbu princewill chukwubueze and I am from delta state, a state in the Niger delta region famous for their tribal clashes and also for the enormous availability of crude oil. I was born on the 3rd of November 1984 and I am the second child of a family of seven until I lost my last sibling who was a sicklier on the 2nd of June. 2007. I grew up in the commercial capital of Nigeria which is Lagos and I tell you all Lagos is a state with the best and worst things in life. I first had a bad taste of Lagos when my family was attacked by armed robbers in 1995. it was a sour experience because they came into the house at 8:00pm which is rather too early for robbers to rob and get away with. You all must have heard about this slang “shine your eyes” that’s what they tell visitors in the state. There is also the case of the police in the state, they say they want to protect lives but they are definitely not doing that because they not only accept bribes but also aid armed robbers to rob. I remember very vividly when my friend came from Dubai; u.a.e very late in the night he was almost killed by police men all because they found $2000 with him. But you all should not be scared of coming to the most populous black nation because we love foreigners; we treat them like kings and queens all for the fact that we do not appreciate ourselves well. But these problems have been reduced to a minimal level since democracy rule stated in Nigeria. The masses now know their rights and the rate at which people are been maltreated have reduced. But I tell you all Lagos is a fun place to live in, even with these shortcomings. The lifestyle is just too funny that you can’t help laughing most of the time. The level of infrastructure has improved because of the democratic rule. I am happy living in Lagos but most youth in Lagos are not because they believe nothing good could come out of this great state and nation Nigeria, if only they knew what they are enjoying in a country like Nigeria they will not be moved at the make believe movie Americans and the British make. And Nigerians will not be treated like thieves when they apply for visas to other countries. We are so gifted in this nation and until we start tapping into our gifts we will never grow. I say it all the time to my friends that we have everything for us to grow as a nation but we do not have love which is the most important key for growth in any society. I have been privileged to have lived in a country such as these because it is what I have seen and what I see on a daily basis that I will write about for you all to read.
I am proud to tell you all that if you want to enjoy yourself entertainment wise and you have not visited Nigeria then I can say you have not had real fun. We are so full of life, our comedians will crack your ribs, our singers and rappers can compete with any singer or rapper in the world, our night clubs are off the inches. I can tell you that Nigerians are fun loving people. We are so blessed as a nation and in the nearest future I believe with all my heart that the most populous black nation in the world will be a power house in the world. Let me stop here and writ e more about myself.

I am a real example of the word talent that is if I may say so.
